Do you ever feel uninspired or stuck in your writing process?

Maybe you struggle to generate ideas you’re excited about. Or you write a decent draft but lose momentum when it’s time to refine or polish. You’re not alone—most writers face the same challenges (including me!). That’s why I’ve created this 6-week workshop, designed to guide you through the natural stages of a nonfiction writing project.

Sharpen skills like ideation and editing, and focus on mastering the entire cycle of a nonfiction writing project. We’ll explore the craft together in a community-driven environment, with actionable tools and techniques you can use straight away.

What You’ll Learn Each Week

Here’s what we’ll dive into during the six live sessions:

  • Session #1: 🍭 Info Diet (22 December at 09:00 ET)
Learn to source material that feels fresh and personally meaningful.
  • Session #2: 💡 Ideation (29 December at 09:00 ET)
Develop compelling topics using proven tactics to spark creativity.
  • Session #3: 🎯 The What (5 January at 09:00 ET)
Nail down exactly what you want to say by drafting a messy first version and learning high-level editing methods.
  • Session #4: 🎨 The How (12 January at 09:00 ET)
Bring your piece to life by designing how you want to say it, including outlining and refining a second draft.
  • Session #5: ✨ Polishing (19 January at 09:00 ET)
Add those final, distinguishing touches that make your work stand out.
  • Session #6: 📣 Publishing (26 January at 09:00 ET)
Share your work confidently and strategically with your audience.

By the end, you’ll have one polished, publish-ready piece, and a repeatable process for tackling future projects with clarity and excitement.

What to Expect

  • Time Well Spent:
Each session lasts 90 minutes: 60 minutes of teaching and breakout work, followed by 30 minutes of good ol' fashioned group discussion.
  • Homework that Works:
Light but effective homework exercises designed to fit into your life and equip you for the next session.
  • A Supportive Environment:
Connect with like-minded writers who are just as committed to improving their craft as you are.
  • Recordings Included:
Can’t make a session? No problem—all sessions will be recorded, so you can catch up anytime.

If you’re able, I’d appreciate it if you could pay here using Wise or PayPal (haz_s17@yahoo.co.uk), as their fees are lower than Gumroad's. Thanks for supporting in whichever way works best for you!

Who This Is For

If you’ve been wondering how you can obsess less over the big picture and focus instead on the process part of writing, then this workshop is definitely for you.

Testimonials About My Writing Mentorship

"Think of a sounding board, but better - like an intellectual creativity board. That’s one of the many talents Harrison offers in the writing world: he stimulates, nurtures, and empowers the creative inside of you. From high level brainstorming to practical tips on language and structure, his guidance would be a huge advantage to anyone looking to take their writing to the next level." – Michael Skinner, Entrepreneur

"It's been a pleasure having Harrison in our Editor Program for Write of Passage. He absolutely aced the editor "exam" during our training (60/60), and has helped two cohorts of students around a range of technical and psychological blocks. His experience in art school enables him to give a perspective shift to anyone he works with." – Michael Dean, Writer and OG Editor-in-Chief at Write of Passage

"Harrison is a discerning, collaborative, and attentive creative partner. He’s helped me out with my writing for over a year now and I just know that whatever piece I’m working on will be a few notches better once it’s got a ‘Harrison pass’. He’s also incredibly resourceful, being able to pull in a variety of prompts and references from his ever-growing library." – Becky Isjwara, Branding & Marketing

"The value of your coaching comes from those moments that are difficult to replicate alone. It could be that writing 'reps' are almost as effective alone as they are with a coach. But those 'aha' moments that happen during conversation are unique. Just bouncing ideas gave me access to a part of my brain that is usually difficult to access alone." – Justin Nothling, Entrepreneur

"When you call out things I didn't notice and when you put on your mentoring hat, I honestly feel like you have a lot of great ideas, Harrison, and you really have a good understanding of the craft because of your experience." – Linart Seprioto, Marketing Management Trainee

“Harrison, I wanted to let you know I was able to get out of the house and find a coffee shop to write for over an hour tonight. I completed a SFD [shitty first draft]. I really appreciate it!” – Kevin Doffing, Company President

"I went from a mess of ideas to writing pieces that connected with people. Harrison has a skill and approach to bring out the best in your writing. I've seen this improve in my writing and how I work with teams." – Dominik Gmeiner, Senior Design Leader

"Harrison helped me overcome a creative block while I was rewriting a few essays. His questions—always rich and unexpected—pushed me to think and feel differently. He's the kind of person who opens your eyes to things you didn’t realize were missing. He especially brings such positive energy to writing. It’s contagious. Suddenly, something that felt like a grind becomes playful and, dare I say, fun. Perhaps that’s the most valuable thing Harrison has given me: the joy of writing again." – Hugo Lebarrois, Product Manager

"One eagerly awaits additional commendations.” – Queen Elizabeth, Contemporary Monarch
